Frequently Asked

Do I need any coding experience? ▼
None at all. The PiLNK Ready SD card has everything pre-installed and configured. Just plug in, power on, and open your browser. If you're building from scratch, the installer is a single command: curl pilnk.io/install.sh | bash
Do I need two antennas? ▼
Not necessarily. You can share a single outdoor antenna between both dongles using the splitter in our store. However, a dedicated VHF airband antenna (like the Marinair P1580) will give you significantly better ATC audio quality.
I already run PiAware — do I need a new Pi? ▼
No! PiLNK runs alongside PiAware on the same Pi. You just need to add a second RTL-SDR dongle for VHF audio. The ADS-B dongle you already have keeps working exactly as before.
What browser does PiLNK work in? ▼
The dashboard works in all modern browsers. For ATC audio streaming, Firefox currently provides the best experience. Chrome support is coming soon.
What's the PiLNK Network? ▼
The PiLNK Network is our upcoming global community ATC audio network. Every node owner will be able to contribute their local ATC coverage and listen to ATC from anywhere in the world. Think of it as the community-owned alternative to LiveATC — built on hardware you already own.
